About Chef Liron
When most kids were riding their bikes, playing games and doing homework, Liron Meller was planting the seeds of his culinary career. He already knew he wanted to be a professional chef and scored his first industry job at the young age of fourteen. Here he learned the basics and became a keen observer of the relationship between people and food. Although he noticed cultural differences and reactions to specific cuisines, he more importantly spotted similarities that unite us all.
This quest to examine the cultural context of food and his desire for adventure led him to study at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London. This formal education allowed him to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional chef, including being a head chef at restaurants such as Orchidea, Cafe Renaissance and Pescado. Additionally, he developed and served as a food stylist for the critically acclaimed cookbook, ART and COOK and is a private chef for a roster of devoted clients.
Chef Liron is a successful caterer and entrepreneur who established an award-winning recreational culinary school “My Cooking Party” twenty years ago, in the heart of New York City. He’s the brainchild of “Nature Has Flavor”, a complete vegan resource with a cookbook, a blog, podcasts, recipes and starter kits.
Liron is an ambassador of curiosity and a champion of the senses, because he knows that even the most cautious and critical eater can be enticed into enjoying a meal when presented with visually creative plating, explosive flavor, contrasting textures and appealing aromas. He also believes that, “No matter where you go, there is one constant; food has the power to bring people together. As a result, the food tastes better if the experience is both physical and social.”
